Good morning, readers!
The subject of today’s blog post is a certain adorable bundle of joy named Wyatt Andrew Torbeck. He arrived at 8:38AM, on 10-26-16 at Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento, California. I was truly honored that Brad and Kristene, Wyatt’s parents chose me to document this monumental milestone in their lives. Capturing these moments was extra special to me because Kristene worked for me for 8 years and is like a 4th daughter to me and my family.
Baby Wyatt decided to remain in the breech position which resulted in a scheduled “C” section birth.
This sweet little nugget made his debut weighing 7 pounds, 6 ounces and measured 19.5 inches long. Kristene was amazing and so brave through out the entire pre-birth and birthing experience. Since Wyatt was breech and coming feet first, I’m sure Kristene was naturally nervous and uneasy.
Dad sure was great as Wyatt got passed to the nurses right away to get checked out, measured, weighed and foot printed before getting to have some skin on skin time with Mom. Have you thought about having your birth photographed, but aren’t sure if it’s for you? Check out what
Kristene had to say about having made the decision to have me be at this very private moment and document baby Wyatt Andrew being born.
What was the first thing thought of when you saw Wyatt for the first time?
Kristene: it was more of a feeling. I was overwhelmed with love. I thought he was perfect in every way.
How was your experience having this intimate moment of your life photographed?
Kristene: Amazing! I almost love the photographs from Wyatt’s birth more than my wedding photographs and we got married in Hawaii. I would highly suggest anyone considering having their birth photographed to do so. There were so many moments I don’t remember or didn’t get a chance to see.
