Recently, I had hernia repair surgery and I was unable to work for a few weeks. It is pretty uncommon for me to take off work partly because I love so much what I do and feel content working a pretty rigorous schedule. I figured while I was not photographing I would make good use of my time and some very generous friends donated their condo to my family for a couple of days. It was very relaxing and it was fun being away with almost my entire family (it always seems likes someone is missing). After a few days in Tahoe I was excited to drive straight through Sacramento headed for a wonderful retreat in Napa. This retreat was put on by a new organization that I am a member of, National Association of Professional Children Photographers. This was a wonderful retreat (mostly women), we celebrated who we are as children photographers. We laughed, cried, shared, and opened our minds and hearts to many possibilities! Here are some of the fun photographs from a wonderful time!
