Full Circle

I wanted to make a quick post about how emotional this week is for me. As many of you know I do volunteer work as often as I can. I get great satisfaction in giving back to the community with my photography skills and feel strongly that photographs are such a keepsake that no one should be without. Anyway, several years ago I received a call from Kaiser to photograph a very sick little boy “Trevor”. I won’t go into the full  story (many of you already know it), however feel free to visit his website, I think you will really be inspired to know more about him. I wanted to say that little Trevor with the assistance of his family, is still very much an angel in our community and in my life. So many positive things have come out of their tragedy and my life has never been the same since I received that call nearly 3 years ago.

Today I am attending a reception at BloodSource that I was invited to and will get to meet first hand a women who was inspired by Trevor to become a bone marrow donor. I will also be lucky enough to meet the young man who traveled from Canada to meet his donor and the women who saved his life. Tomorrow, NEWS 10 is hosting their annual blood drive and there will be bone marrow swabbing at the blood drive. If you are not on the registry to donate bone marrow please stop by News 10 or one of their sister stations and get swabbed, it is very fast and easy. This is a fabulous event and if you can attend please do!

Please check out these two links that show the full circle and inspiration that TREVOR has given to SO MANY!
