Well, as Kristene always reminds me ”it all worked out” and here we are at Friday…..

I am so happy to share my favorite photo/photos this week as they are of one of our beautiful Rio Americano Representatives. She is a natural in front of the lense of a camera and I believe her abilities come partly because her Mother actually was a model during her own career days. Lexie’s brother, Michael also represented our senior program a couple of years ago and we loved photographing him as well.

We feel so honored to have Lexie on board with us this year. I was extremely moved when I read her fathers email to us, after viewing Lexie’s slide show. Here is what he had to say.

“Wow!! You are amazing. It is so nice to start the morning with the Tahoe trip I heard so much about. Lexie and Sheila had a great time with you and certainly treasure your friendship and amazing talents. Nothing brings a smile to my eyes like the photos you have taken of my children. FEBRUARY 26th and MARCH 26th ~ SENIOR SHOOT OUT ~ Times will vary and the location for this Saturday, February 26th, will be at William B Pond in Carmichael. These are fantastic sessions for the senior who wants to have senior portraits, but are not necessarily interested in a full 1 or 2 hour specialty session. Check out some tips here for helping you get the most out of your senior session! Our $55.00 prepaid mini sessions last 30 minutes (which is even enough time to have a clothing change) and are just the right amount of time to get plenty of close ups as well as full length portraits. I figured it would be a good idea to give you seniors a few tips on how to acquire some great photographs!

1) Organize two or three different outfit changes and layer your clothing if possible, that way you can easily have one outfit and layer to another. For gals it is a great idea to bring along a summer dress of some kind, long or short, a dress is a great addition to outdoor portraits. We recommend wearing clothing that {is you} and that you feel comfortable in. Don’t forget your accessories.

2) Get rest the night before your session…that means you should be in bed {right}….but really, you want to look fresh and not tired. Sleep and rest is the only way to achieve the freshest look possible.

3) Bring to your session, if you wish, something that reflects your personality, talent, hobby, sport or anything else that may show what your interests are. This is about you and who you are! Bringing along a letter man jacket or your skateboard etc is a perfect addition to your portrait session.

4) Include a friend. There is nothing like having your best buddy along while you achieve this venture in front of the camera. This is one of the most exciting times in your life and why not share it with your friend. A good friend is perfect for helping you laugh, relax and have a good time. Not to mention you could easily have a photo or two together, how special will that be.

5) Lastly, make sure you wear a little more makeup than you are used to. Although, everything is retouched in our studio we recommend a bit of additional make up just to be sure you are well covered. If you have tan lines take into consideration the clothing that you are wearing and be sure that it covers your lines. Having lip gloss on hand will reassure being able to touch up your lips at any time during the session.

Franz family for organizing such a GREAT DAY!

I asked her if she was at all interested in doing some photographs with her puppy and she said “sure.” I couldn’t get over how cute this {little} {not for long} pup was!

Little Jupiter is a Bullmastiff and will grow to be approximately 110 to 133 pounds. Bullmastiffs are courageous, extremely loyal to their family, calm, and loving. What a fun little surprise. I truly hope I get the oppurtunity to see him again sometime, he will never look like this again!
