Favorite Photo Friday….. {My Family}

This is going to be quick, because I’m borderline going to fall asleep. I have done my workout at 5:00 AM 5 days in a row this week, not to mention I have had a few late nights working (don’t tell my husband, hee hee). Anyway, I have tried to do some extra working out this week because we had such a wonderful vacation last week and I’m sure I gained a few extra pounds that I could work on shedding. We had so much fun that I can hardly say enough about what a wonderful and relaxing time we had and it meant so much to me to be together. I have many more photos to share, but the first one here is my favorite for obvious reasons, this is my family! Although we had intentions of having a lovely, planned and organized family portrait done, we just never could make the time. I guess that is what happens when you have a large group. I’m grateful that we all managed to be together and truly family is really the most important thing to me.

I (Kristene) am posting Brenda’s favorite photo for this week since she is spending time with her family in beautiful Santa Cruz (Go Brenda!!!).

We had a great week with baby and outdoor family sessions…. But then why not show a photo of some “family fun” in Santa Cruz?

Here is a photo taken from Brenda’s phone of one of her daughters Karson and her son Beau playing volleyball on the beach.

Family Portraits {Sacramento Family Portrait Photographer}

I truly feel blessed in my life. I’m so grateful for my health, having a job I’m passionate about, the abundance of friends and my wonderful loving family. For

many reasons lately I have been feeling like the circle of life is moving pretty quickly. It occurs to me that I blink my eyes and wow there goes another year

and so many changes in my kids and family have happened. This brings me to the topic of family portraits and why I personally feel like hiring a professional

photographer, such as Bisharat Photography to document your family at any stage of life is invaluable!

I recently came across this 4×6 of my family. We have the very large canvass of it hanging over our fireplace in our home.

It is simply priceless to me!

In the short time since we took this photo, I have gained, a son in law and two grandsons, graduated a child on to college, moved one to high school and one to Jr high! For this reason, I am ecstatic about our upcoming trip to Santa Cruz where we will be updating our family portrait.

I am frequently told that family photos are the one thing my clients would save if their home was on fire. However, the thought of trying to organize a family portrait can seem overwhelming. To encourage people to get the pictures they want without the stress we have developed our “SPRING MINI SESSION” for families or children. You may have heard of some family members or friends that took advantage of this type of session this past fall.

Sessions to be held:

March 16…Early evening (it is daylight savings then) Some appointments still available

March 23…..A few appointments on this date still available

March 25….We have some bookings this date…however Friday’s tend to book quickly

Your session runs $99.00 and includes 1-5x7 and 4-wallets (from one pose)
The locations for these sessions will vary depending on which date works best for your family.
The sessions are $99.00 prepaid to hold your time and will be 30 minutes in length.
Just enough time to wear out the children “AND” husband.
We did these sessions during the fall as well and they were so popular we had several weeks booked.
If you received a  special gift certificate in the mail, you will definitely want to book your appointment quickly.

Sacramento Birth Photography {anticipation}

As I put my grandson to bed tonight and reflect on the anticipation of tomorrows events, my daughter giving birth to her second son (our second grandson) I can hardly help myself from becoming completely over come with joyful emotion. Life continues to be such a miracle! Although it is late, I wanted to post some of the photographs from my first grandson’s birth. It seems like just yesterday, he was born August 11, 2009. Our second Grandson due 1-11-11…(love the due date)! If you look at the photos below you will notice our little Thomas weighed in at 9LBs 14OZ and at our daughters last Dr appointment she mentioned to her Dr. that she was very uncomfortable. In checking the stats from her first birth and realizing the size of her baby her Dr. agreed it best to induce a couple of days early. So…tomorrow might just be the day!

You might notice that my daughter is sporting one of the first Annie and Isabel Gowns made. Can’t wait to see which Annie and Isabel gown she will be wearing tomorrow!

I know tomorrows events will be different, full of joy, emotion and amazing memories. My little Thomas’s life will be changed forever and he will have to learn to share his Mom, Dad….and all others who love and adore him so much. My wish is that he will also learn that siblings and family are one of the most precious things about life. With much anticipation I will try to get some rest and will post on tomorrows events as soon as I am able. I am so grateful for family, my life and the gift I have to be able to document all the things that come about while here!

“ANTICIPATION”

Grateful Today and Everyday {It’s My Birthday!}

I’m not really one to announce and make a fuss about my Birthday, but geez with Facebook, I guess I put it out there and I’m so happy that I received so many generous Birthday wishes. Thank you very much! Boy, do I have some wonderful friends and for that I am grateful today and everyday!

In addition, I’m very fortunate to have a load {and I mean a load} of wonderful family. We are a close knit family and we have done a fair amount of traveling and vacationing together. We realize how beneficial this can be for creating wonderful traditions and memories for all of us as. I’m so grateful for such loving parents and family. In addition I must make special mention of how grateful I am to have such a wonderful and supportive husband. He never waivers in his support and has been putting up with me and my love of photography for about 28 years now. He is a loving partner, father and friend. Recently, I heard him described as a big, burly, handsome man, that will cry in a second. This is true, he has a heart of gold and anyone who knows him would agree I’m sure, I’m so lucky to have him in my life.

As many of you reading this probably know, photography is not just a business to me. I’m truly passionate about what I do and the idea that I have been able to make a living at and do what I love for nearly 30 years now is truly a blessing to me. I cannot be more grateful than to wake up in the morning knowing that I’m off to {work} to document something that may be of the up most importance to somebody…be it a wedding, a pregnancy, a birth, a newborn, a child, a family, a high school senior, an event or may I make mention of, a struggling homeless person or a very sick or ill person struck with cancer or a disease. No matter what it might be, I realize when I get behind the camera, it is not to be taken lightly, I must do the best I can at documenting this important moment in time because we will never have that moment again……

Last weekend I had the pleasure of taking a little time away and venturing over to Pacific Grove near Monterrey for the annual September Pac Grove Triathlon. No….I did not participate in the tri itself this time :0( however I still had so much fun being there with all of my close friends and the wonderful family members of “Team Trevor.” I have to say “Team Trevor” and the Kott family has changed my life forever. I feel strongly that things happen for a reason and I know I was meant to be a part of Trevor’s short life here on earth. I cannot feel more grateful for the things I learned knowing him and how I continue to enjoy life more because of my relationship with them.

OK…..getting a little wordy here, so I will close with just one last thing and that is how grateful I feel to have Kristene, my wonderful little associate who treats our business as if it were her own {maybe it will be someday} and how she keeps things positive and upbeat all the time {NO MATTER WHAT}

Party-cus I’m One {Sacramento Area Children Photographer}

Just a quick blog update, I wanted to share a few photographs from my Grandson Thomas’s birthday party. We had a quint little barbecue at one of my favorite parks {Ancil Hoffman}. I love that park, especially the trail that is about a three mile loop all the way around the park, I try to find the time to run the trail 3 or 4 times a week with our fat family lab {Maci}. Just a beautiful trail! Anyway, we had a lovely barbecue, grilling hot dogs and hamburgers and several delicious salads. For dessert Grandma Michael made our little cowboy the cutest little {boot} cake, I have to say, I was so impressed not only with the cake but that Thomas ate and ate and ate his cake with a fork. I could not get over how cute he was when he offered up his cake to everyone around him. Really, a one year old that eats his birthday cake with a fork? As far as dessert for the rest of the 60+ guests non other than Esther’s Cupcakes. We decided to make it easy and got chocolate and vanilla cupcakes from Esther’s. Everyone raved about the lovely day, weather was perfect, the lunch was delicious, the kids had lots of space to run and play and of course Esther’s Cupcakes were the bomb once again.

Thomas Edward Michael….ie: {Thomas the tank} now 5 months, has adapted a “new” nickname….Because he is SO wild and literally wants to jump out of your arms, we have decided his new nick name is: {Monkey} or {MoMo} So, tell me how could I resist buying this hat at the Ritz Carlton when I was skiing last week?

That’s what I thought….I couldn’t!!!

ONE MONTH/TWO MONTH/THREE MONTH….FOUR

Can’t believe that 4 months has gone by since my little grandson Thomas the Tank was born. I thought time was really moving along before I was a MIMI..but now time is moving at lightning speed. Just a little update, Thomas is smiling all the time and he loves food…in case you hadn’t noticed. He is on rice cereal (organic of course) and loves his milk….He has a little bouncy, jumpy type of toy that he simply goes crazy in. When I’m on the phone with my daughter I can hear him in the seat screaming at the top of his lungs bellowing shouts of pure excitement and joy! He is sure that it is almost time for him to jump out of my arms and run after all of the children he sees, because when he sees children running his legs start moving as if he is going to just take off. This is a wonderful time of year and I’m so excited to be able to have a large family, all happy and healthy to share it with……CHEERS!

Well, my dear little grandson…Thomas Edward Michael turned 2 months on the 11th of October. My daughter and I got together a few days prior to then because I was going to be gone in Santa Cruz on the 11th and we figured if we waited until I got back, his T-Shirt might not fit…..so with a little smile here is his 2 month t-shirt photograph…and some of his little (big) baby parts too!

It is so hard for me to believe the 1 entire month has already gone by since the birth of my little (well not really so little) grandson was born. It is a complete miracle and I am still in awe and on cloud 9! I have no idea how much he weighs now, but he really is a TANK! I keep expecting him to be more mature since he really is the average size of a 4 to 6 month old…I’m loving this Mimi thing!!!!
